Privacy Policy
Clerko is a product of Calemor Group Ltd ("Calemor", "we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our websites and the Clerko web application (the "Service").
Information the Service accesses
When you connect your Gmail account, the Service accesses limited email information through Google's APIs, including:
- email message content
- sender and recipient information
- subject lines
- timestamps and message metadata
This access is required for the Service to identify the emails that need your attention and to prepare draft replies.
How your data is used
Information accessed by the Service is used only to:
- classify which emails need a reply or a follow-up, and filter out the rest
- draft suggested replies in your voice for your approval
- display email content when you open a message
This data is used solely to provide the functionality of the Service.
AI processing
To classify emails and generate draft replies, relevant message content is processed by our AI provider, Anthropic, via its API. This processing is used only to provide Clerko's functionality. Content sent to the Anthropic API is not used to train Anthropic's models.
Data storage and retention
Clerko runs as a hosted web service. We store the minimum needed to operate — your account details, your settings, and a lightweight classification cache. Your email content is processed to produce results and is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. Draft replies are saved as drafts in your own Gmail; nothing is sent on your behalf without your explicit approval.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details; payment information is handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy.
Third-party services
The Service relies on the following third-party platforms:
- Google Gmail API — to access your email (Google Privacy Policy)
- Anthropic — AI processing for classification and drafting (Anthropic Privacy Policy)
- Stripe — payment processing (Stripe Privacy Policy)
Clerko's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to help protect user data from unauthorised access, misuse, or disclosure.
Your choices
You may disconnect your Gmail account at any time.
